About Kitchener Clean — Waterloo Region's Commercial Cleaning Experts Since 2009
Every Clean Tells a Story, and We Write Excellence
We're more than a commercial cleaning company. We're a family-owned business built on integrity, quality, and a genuine commitment to the communities and businesses we serve across Kitchener, Waterloo, Cambridge, and the Waterloo Region.
Kitchener Clean was founded in 2009 by Derrick Carroll — a Kitchener entrepreneur who believed that professional office cleaning deserved the same standard of care as any other professional service. Starting with just house cleaning, the business grew steadily into one of Waterloo Region's most trusted commercial cleaning companies, serving offices, warehouses, medical facilities, tech companies, and industrial spaces across the region.
Today, Kitchener Clean offers a full suite of commercial cleaning solutions — from daily janitorial services and deep cleaning to carpet steam cleaning, floor care, germ protection, and the region's only Office Compost Program. Every service is delivered by WHMIS-certified, background-checked team members using eco-certified cleaning products.
We treat every office as if it were our own. That commitment hasn't changed in 15+ years.
Our Mission
"Our mission is to help businesses across Kitchener, Waterloo, Cambridge, and the Waterloo Region achieve healthier, cleaner, and more sustainable work environments — so that every employee feels proud to come to work, and every client feels confident walking through your door.
What sets us apart is our belief that commercial cleaning is a professional service that deserves professional standards: certified training, eco-responsible products, fair wages for our team, and a commitment to continuous improvement. We don't cut corners — we clean them."
The Expertise
Derrick Carroll
Founder & CEO
From House Cleaning to #1 Eco Cleaning Company In the Region
Derrick Carroll founded Kitchener Clean in 2009 after a career spanning accounting, computer sales, and entrepreneurship. His philosophy has always been the same: office cleaning is a professional service, and it deserves to be delivered with the same standards as any other profession — clear communication, consistent quality, and accountability to the client.
Under Derrick's leadership, Kitchener Clean has grown from a one-person house cleaning operation to Waterloo Region's most trusted commercial cleaning company — and the only cleaning company in the region to operate its own Office Compost Program. Derrick is also a proud Living Wage employer, committed to ensuring that Kitchener Clean's team members are paid fairly for their work.
Tori Savage
Co-Owner & Operations
Tori joined Kitchener Clean in 2014, bringing with her a background in business operations and client care. As co-owner, Tori oversees the day-to-day operations of both Kitchener Clean and the Office Compost Program, ensuring that every client receives the consistent, high-quality service they signed up for.
Tori's belief is simple: a clean office is a productive office — and a company that treats its employees well produces better results for its clients. That philosophy shapes everything Kitchener Clean does.
Tiffany Whalen
Client and Team Member Care
25 Years Of Experience & Counting
Tiffany is the heart of Kitchener Clean's client experience. A Cambridge, Ontario native with 20+ years in customer service and human resources, Tiffany ensures that every client interaction — from the first quote to the hundredth cleaning visit — is handled with professionalism, warmth, and prompt follow-through. She is your first call when you need something, and the person who makes sure it gets done right.
Living Wage Employer — Because Our Team Deserves Better
Kitchener Clean is a proud certified Living Wage Employer through the Ontario Living Wage Network. A living wage is not the same as the provincial minimum wage — it reflects what workers in our community actually need to cover their basic expenses and participate in the life of the Waterloo Region.
We pay our team members a living wage because we believe that a company committed to quality and integrity must also be committed to the well-being of the people who deliver that quality every day. Better-paid team members are more motivated, more stable, and more invested in the quality of their work — which means a better result for every Kitchener Clean client.
"Integrity is one of the core values of our commercial cleaning company. We sincerely hope to improve the communities we serve as well as the lives of our employees — which is why Kitchener Clean is a proud Living Wage Employer." — Derrick Carroll & Tori Savage, Kitchener Clean

What does Living Wage Means To Our Employees
Environmentally Safe Cleaning — UL ECOLOGO® Certified
At Kitchener Clean, environmental responsibility isn't a marketing claim — it's built into every clean. We use UL ECOLOGO® and Green Seal certified cleaning products wherever possible. These certifications mean our products have undergone rigorous scientific testing and third-party auditing to confirm they meet stringent environmental and safety standards.
For our clients in Kitchener, Waterloo, and Cambridge, this means cleaner air, safer workplaces, and the confidence that your office cleaning isn't harming the environment. It's part of why we're trusted by eco-conscious businesses across the Waterloo Region — and why we launched the Office Compost Program to take that commitment even further.
